Zen Rain Shawlette: Zen Rain is a wide, shallow, ruffled scarf/shawlette. I daydreamed this shawl while watching rain run down a window. Lorajean Kelley of Knitted Wit dyed a beautiful, cloudy sky gray with her Bling fingering weight yarn base for me. The pattern is very rhythmic to knit, and oh, so zen.
The pattern is one size, and is designed to use most/all of one 100 gm/420 yard skein of luxury fingering weight yarn. Gauge is 12 stitches per 2 inches in stockinette stitch; I used a US size 6 needle. There are options for an extravagant ruffle, and a more sedate ruffle. Charts and line by line instructions for the lace pattern are included.
This pattern is available as a pdf file through Ravelry.com; payment is through PayPal and it’s an automatic download. Just click the ”buy now” button and you’ll be guided through the process.
The Ravelry pattern page is here.
The pattern is also available through my Payhip store; that link is here.
A more sedate ruffle!

I would like to participate in the KAL let me know when it will start.
Thannks!
I would like to join in too – I will probably use some locally hand-dyed yarn from the UK. I loved your Pacific Shawl pattern.
This will be perfect for SS11! Can’t wait to get started.
I would LOVE to do a KAL. Count me in!
As a society of native oregon born (snob), I understand the rain very well, which is why I don’t live there any more. Not that I don’t miss it immensely sometimes. I would love to join your kal to a little Oregon mist!
I would like to join the KAL! What are the details? I live in the PDX metro area and I love rain!
