The Bamboo Rib Coffee Cozy features an intriguing rib pattern worked at a firmer than usual gauge, which helps keep your cup warmer and your fingers cooler. Work in the round on dpns, 2 circulars, or magic loop: knitter’s choice! I designed these to sample Knitted Wit’s Gumballs, her worsted weight mini-skeins. These are also a great way to use up leftover worsted weight yarn.
Depending on your yarn, you may want to change your needle size. The Knitted Wit Gumballs (worsted mini-skeins) worked well on a US size 3. I knit one on US size 5 needles with Malabrigo Worsted, a heavy worsted single ply, and liked the result. As long as you get a fabric you like, it’s perfect. The rib makes it stretchy, so it fits cups of various sizes.
