Camellia Wrap

The Camellia Wrap is a streamlined version of my Cherry Blossom Wrapture; it has a simpler arrangement of logs, and no lace patterning in the second contrast color. The yarn told me what it wanted to do, and I listened!

The Camellia Wrap begins with a leafy center square that is worked in the round. Next comes a frame, knit flat, log cabin-style. Once the frame is complete, work one end of the shawl from half the square, and then knit the other end.

This shawl uses four 100 gram skeins of fingering weight yarn, 2 in the main color, and one each of two contrast colors. The width of the shawl is easily adapted for your yardage and preference.

A lacy flower motif is provided for the contrast color logs, but you could also skip the lace and work plain garter stitch for the ultimate relaxing knit. Knitter’s choice!

Shown here in Knit Picks Hawthorne Fingering, in Italian Ice Speckle (white speckle), Turkish Delight (pink), and Poseidon (green).
