I designed this hat/cowl for Pico Accuardi Dyeworks’ Created in Oregon: A Knitter’s Datebook 2012. It uses one 100 gm/skein of worsted weight yarn (less than 100 gm, but more than 50, just so you know).
The transformation from cowl to hat is accomplished by a drawstring through the top. Simple, but effective.

Cute pattern! I live in Rockaway Beach, OR 🙂 I am loving your site and will likely be purchasing a pattern soon.
Glad you like it!
I love Rockaway Beach, and am looking forward to yet another Crafty Mom weekend there next spring. So much fun, and so much inspiration, too! (My Pacific Shawl was created there, too: https://pdxknitterati.com/patterns/pacific-shawl/)
Enjoy the site!
