It’s been a sad week chez PDXKnitterati. We had to say goodbye to our beloved Mookie a week ago Thursday. She was 16 years old, and part of our family for 12 years. She was the best cat ever.
Mookie was a reluctant knitwear model, but she loved being around knitting.
She brought a lot of joy to our family.
Although knitting was our favorite craft, we also dabbled in non-knitting projects.
Our kids are grown, but they have truly lost the last bit of their childhood with the passing of the family kitty. There is a cat-shaped hole in all our hearts. I still find myself looking for her in the house before I realize that she’s not here.

Mookie sure was beautiful and you can just see her sweet personality in those photos. Rest easy, sweet Mookie.
it brings tears to my eyes to read this. We lost our last cat a year ago, and I still miss him. I can relate to how you are feeling.

I’m so sorry. Totally sympathize on the looking around for her thing, too. It took quite some time before I stopped expecting my last cat to be waiting for me at the top of the stairs to our apartment when I came home.
I will miss here as well. Mook-Mook was a wonderful cat.

So sorry for your loss. Our pets as so dear to us, just as much family as our kids.
We love them so. They are part of the family. What a blessing you could enjoy your beloved pet for as long as you did.
