New: Summertime Blues Wrap

I’ve just released my Summertime Blues pattern. This wrap/poncho is a perfect summer accessory. Knit in fingering weight yarn, it is light and sleek and swingy, especially in a wool/plant fiber blend. It features two sets of lacy leaves, twining up the side.

I knit this with Knitted Wit’s Shine, a 50/50 merino tencel blend. It’s a gorgeous, shimmery, drapey wonder.

The length and width of this wrap are easy to customize to your perfect size. The wrap shown is 21″ wide by 31″ long, modified from the instructions which are for a 19″ wide wrap.

I just finished knitting a second one, same color, but with beads. A little shorter, because I’m shorter than my model! I’ll be wearing it at TNNA this weekend. What are your plans? More knitting?

    What a gorgeous design!

  2. Awesome. I will add to my list. Love the hair braid also.

  3. What a beautiful summer knit!

  4. Your knitting patterns are so beautiful, Michelle! Your Summertime Blues Wrap is unique and gorgeous! I am assuming that it is in a rectangle form? I’m a sock knitter – and I’ve never knit a shawl before, mostly because of the triangle form, which sort of freaks me out thinking about it!
I’ve been following your blog for quite awhile now, and I have posted a link to your site on my blog:

    Best, Jo

    • Thanks, Jo! Yes, Summertime Blues is a rectangle, actually two rectangles joined with three needle bind off and some mattress stitch. While I love the triangles, I especially love the form of Summertime Blues because it stays on where I put it!
