Knitting holidaze

Okay, it got me. I need to knit at least one Christmas present. And here’s the yarn for it. So gorgeous. I can’t tell you who it’s for (a secret, of course). I’m not even sure what it’s going to be! I was thinking scarflet, but it depends on what the variegated yarn looks like when I swatch. It’s prettier in real life, but it’s dark out so we have a kitchen counter picture because that’s where the bright halogens are.

Here’s the second scarflet, which I never photographed before it went to its new life as a shop model. Isn’t it glamorous, being a model? She’s living over at Twisted.

Here’s the sky this evening. A front is coming in, and that makes for the best sky pictures!

  1. I love the scarflet! I will check it out next time I’m in the Twisted neighborhood 🙂

Wasn’t the sky gorgeous tonight?! Great photos!

  2. My Reiki Master was busy snapping similar sunset shots in class this afternoon. We were near the convention center though.

The Taos was a yarn included in the Designer One Skein book and I think were a pair of ballet style slippers, if memory serves.

  3. Those sky pictures are beautiful

  4. That’s a yummy yarn. I look forward to seeing how it knits up.

  5. Gorgeous scarflet and skies. Good luck with your new project! Finally got the farm road dirt off the car yesterday and while stopped at a light, was amazed that the lower temps here in TX still allow the flowers to flourish, not like in spring but they’re still here and welcome. I am a four-season gal, though. So keep showing me bare branches, like on our crape myrtles. Dee

  6. Beautiful sky photos!

I have some Taos in my stash…it always looks so nice! I have yet to knit with any, though. Can’t wait to see what you do with yours.

  7. Gorgeous pictures! The yarn is gorgeous – I just saw some for sale on Ravelry and wondered what it was like in person…

  8. It looks nice in blue too, but I must admit I prefer the other color and also the buttons on the other one too. Those were gorgeous buttons.
