This Little Ziggy is a vest for toddlers. I designed it for Lorajean Kelley of Knitted Wit, using her DK weight Polwarth/Silk blend. Luscious! We had two done for Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival, 2011. They’re just the right size for her boys.
Aren’t they cute?
The Knitted Wit/Ravelry version has both two and three stripe options, as well as a coordinating hat.
The pattern is available through my Ravelry shop for $6. Click the button and it will walk you through the purchase process via paypal.
I’ve also knit this vest in KnitPicks Swish DK, which is a washable merino wool. The KnitPicks version of this pattern is knit only with the three stripe option in both sizes, because the yarn knits up a little more densely. There’s not enough of the MC to do a 2 stripe option, even in the smaller size, without buying extra yarn. I figure these things out so you don’t have to!
The hat pattern is not included in the KnitPicks version, which sells for $3.99. You can find the KnitPicks version of This Little Ziggy here. If you want just the hat, you can purchase the pattern here.
It was a glorious day at the pumpkin patch!
