Flower Power Entrelac

Flower Power Entrelac is a cowl or scarf, knit flat. It’s another twist on my Athena Cowl, which is knit in the round. Why knit a round cowl flat? To learn all the elements you need to know for any entrelac project, and to avoid a huge game of yarn chicken on a long scarf or loop cowl knit from the side ege! Entrelac looks like it’s woven, but it’s just a lot of squares and triangles, knit one at a time. You’ll want to knit just one more square…

Knit to the length you like!

Flower Power entrelac is knit with a slow color changing yarn. I used Berroco Wizard, a lofty chunky/bulky yarn at 100g/262 yards. This is a very lightweight yarn; if you’re using a heavier yarn with less yardage per 100g ball (like Noro worsteds), you may need more balls of yarn if you’d like a long cowl/scarf.

Knit to the length you like for anywhere between a 20″ cowl to a 54″ scarf or long cowl.
