Pacific Shawl

Pacific Shawl: This shawl was inspired by the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean. The optional (but highly recommended) beads suggest the sparkle of sunlight on the waves.

The pattern has three sizes, and uses approximately 330 (small size) to 440 (large size) yards of fingering weight yarn. I used Malabrigo Sock yarn, 100g/440 yards. Gauge is 12 stitches per 2 inches in stockinette stitch; I used a US size 6 needle. Gauge isn’t super critical unless you are making the large shawl; you will want to have an extra skein for the large shawl, just in case.

Charts and line by line instructions for the lace pattern are included.

This pattern is available for $6 USD. You can purchase this pattern as a pdf file through Ravelry.com; pay is through PayPal and it’s an automatic download. Just click the ”buy now” button and you’ll be guided through the process.

Update: I donated $534 to the Red Cross; thank you for supporting this effort!
