We have a nice little park in our downtown area (where a store used to stand) – It has a gazebo and I got the idea to knit down there during the noon hour – three other friends joined me – I was hoping the local paper would take a picture, but they didn’t – of course, none of us thought of itl either! This was our first year – maybe we will have more people join us next year in Fort Scott, Kansas -

We had 50+ knitters, crocheters and spinners. 40 lucky ones got goodie bags with samples from five local dyers, coupons to three LYS, three patterns, and stitchmarkers. Then there were the door prizes provided by the LYS – yarns and books. It was also a lovely day as the rain held off until later.

Next year you know the one you’ll want to be at!

I knit at my daughter’s baccalaureate on Sunday. But I’m hosting a Sock Skool at my home this coming Saturday, another of the WWKIP days this year.

Great sky photo – wish I could have sent you some of the incredible lightning/hail storm we had here.

My fingers are so beat up from trying to learn beginner guitar that I can’t even think of knitting. There is a new yarn store that opened up next door to the Conservatory and they may have local yarns. I’ll check it out for you. Dee

I knit at my wedding reception!!!! There were only 5 of us, but out of 75 people I’d say that’s a pretty good percentage

I knit at a LYS in Rehoboth Beach, DE. So fun! I actually wrote down names but not all of them. And I didn’t get any Ravelry names. But there weren’t any flowers as pretty as those.

That looks like a fun gathering. I missed any events near me (wasn’t aware of any, WWKIP sorta snuck up on me), but I managed to knit a bit of my sock while having a mocha at Starbucks.

Fun! My Mother-In-Law (visiting from Sacramento) & my BKFF (Best Knitting Friend Forever) – Margaret (Winston’s Mom) met at the Loussac Library in Anchorage. Small turn out, but fun to get together. I forgot my camera too! Knit on!

I knitted in line yesterday while waiting to be seated for my son’s dance class perfomance. Morgan took a pic of me and told me I should blog about it… we’re all on the same wavelength!

Sounds like fun – what a beautiful place to knit! I had a knitting group yarn crawl so we knit at lunch and at the yarn store…does that count as knitting in public?
